An ageing brick walkway rebuilt as a wide timber deck
The original approach ran on tired brick paving alongside the main building, with bare ground and ageing edges either side. MyBuild Commercial removed it and built a new Australian hardwood and Merbau timber deck that runs the length of the covered area, widening the walkway and tying the entrance, the covered play space and the grounds together.

MyBuild Commercial completed a comprehensive upgrade and refurbishment at Yorkeys Knob Community Kindergarten, delivering a range of improvements designed to enhance the functionality, accessibility and presentation of the facility.
The works covered demolition and refurbishment of existing areas, a new Australian hardwood and Merbau timber decking area, upgrades to the toilet block, a new patio ceiling and insulation, rendering and painting, upgraded lighting and plumbing, and improvements to the kindergarten’s entrance and pathways.

The covered area was fitted with a new lined patio ceiling and insulation, lifting both the presentation and the comfort of the space below.
Concrete and rubber ramps
Concrete and rubber ramps and a new entrance ramp were installed alongside compliant pathway upgrades across the site.
Upgraded lighting and plumbing
Lighting and plumbing were upgraded through the works, including the kindergarten's nappy and dirty utility area.
Rendering and painting
Rendering and painting through the refurbished areas delivered a consistent, well presented finish across the facility.
