The project involved the design and construction of a fully equipped Changing Places facility that integrates seamlessly with the existing lagoon amenities. The facility was built in strict compliance with the National Construction Code 2019, ensuring the highest standards of accessibility and safety.

One of the main challenges was ensuring the facility blended perfectly with the existing structures while adhering to stringent accessibility requirements. Additionally, the facility had to be constructed in a way that would withstand the high foot traffic typical of the Cairns Esplanade.
